FAQ

Is DaisyDisk based on some other program?

We have developed and optimized DaisyDisk from scratch, without inheriting any code from other programs. Benchmark tests show that DaisyDisk often outperforms competition by 10 to 50 percent and this would not be possible without creating a custom engine.

DaisyDisk displays disk structure on sunburst, which is known to people involved in data visualization but is quite rarely seen in popular software. We have made a series of improvements and tweaks to the original sunburst to make it more suitable for visualizing disk space usage.
Is there a version for Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger?
Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger and earlier are not supported, because they lack some frameworks required for the complex user interface animations.
Do you plan to release a version for Windows or Linux?
We have no plans to release a Windows or Linux versions of DaisyDisk. Use Scanner or Filelight instead.
On how many Macs can I use my DaisyDisk license key?
Use the following table for reference:
